Krishna Priya’s Story
Krishna Priya K is a Paniya tribal girl from Chakarakulam (Chakkarakulam) tribal village, near the Nilgiris–Wayanad border. She lost her father at a very young age. Her mother works as a daily-wage tea estate worker, plucking tea leaves to keep the family going.
Even with frequent health issues and long travel barriers to school (the nearest school after 8th standard was about 15 km away), Krishna Priya never gave up. She completed her schooling through government tribal residential/hostel support, finished her B.Com in Ooty, and now has taken a bold step: MA Public Administration (1st Year) at Madras Christian College, Chennai.
Her dream is clear and powerful: to serve her community and help more tribal youth enter higher education and secure good jobs.
Today, we are raising support to cover her core education and living expenses for 2 years so she can study with dignity and stability. Mailbox Trust is coordinating this support initiative and raising donations to ensure Krishna Priya can complete her postgraduate education without financial hardship.
