Many bright students from tribal and marginalised communities reach Class 12 with strong dreams—but higher education becomes uncertain because of tuition fees, travel barriers, hostel needs, and basic living costs. In the Nilgiris–Wayanad border belt, education is not only about marks—it is about reaching the classroom safely and staying enrolled consistently despite distance, irregular income, and limited access to facilities.
In many forest-fringe tribal settlements, students travel long distances, face poor transport availability, and sometimes depend on hostel support to continue studies after school. For families living on daily wages, even one semester fee can decide whether a student continues education or drops out. These are real struggles seen across tribal regions—especially where villages are remote and basic services are far from reach.
This is why Mailbox Trust, led by Gokula Pirasanth (Director – Children & Youth Education), is committed to ensuring that higher education does not stop at Class 12 for deserving students. Mailbox Trust is paying the tuition fees for the students listed below. Your donation helps us sustain this support, expand to more students, and ensure that no student is forced to discontinue education due to financial hardship.
